2017EarthdayMayWestchester’s 2017 Earth Day Celebration is coming to Kensico Dam Plaza on Saturday, May 13 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. This annual spring celebration sponsored by County Executive Robert P. Astorino, the Department of Environmental Facilities, and the Parks Department, will offer free live music and entertainment; exhibits by local environmental organizations; an outdoor market featuring ready-to-eat foods and earth-friendly products; giveaways and more. Admission and parking are free. This event is rain or shine.


The county’s Mobile Shredder will be present from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., weather permitting. Residents can bring up to four boxes of confidential papers per household for shredding.

County Executive Astorino will kick off the day’s festivities with the presentation of the county’s Earth Day Awards for environmental achievements and community recycling programs. It will be a fun event for all ages. Come out and enjoy the day with family, friends, and neighbors.
